Dr. David Moates brings a wealth of clinical expertise to the Waterside Dental office. He graduated from the University of Tennessee Dental School in 1983 and went on to own and operated two different offices for 30 years in Apoka, Florida and Hendersonville, North Carolina.   Dr. Moates is well versed in all phases of general dentistry, from routine procedures to more complex cases. He completed specialized courses in implant dentistry from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and has replaced and restored implants for more than 20 years. In addition, Dr. Moates handles most root canal therapies and oral surgery treatments, treating every procedure as cosmetic in nature to give you your best smile.   Dr. Moates and his wife of more than three decades are pleased to call Sarasota their home.

Dr. Erick Rivera is a skilled general dentist with years of experience, dedicated to helping patients achieve beautiful, healthy smiles. Under his care, patients can expect personalized attention, high-quality treatment, and a strong emphasis on comfort. As a valued member of the incredible team at The Waterside Dental Clinic, Dr. Rivera takes pride in connecting with his patients and assisting them in achieving their best smiles. He believes in preventive, personalized care that caters to each individual's unique needs. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Rochester, NY, where he received extensive training in all aspects of dental care. Continuously exploring new techniques and technology, Dr. Rivera strives to make dentistry more accessible and comfortable for his patients. He enjoys practicing all areas of general dentistry, from enhancing smiles to restoring function and alleviating pain. His commitment to ongoing learning is particularly focused on prosthodontics and oral surgery. Outside of his dental practice, Dr. Rivera is a passionate foodie who also enjoys playing basketball and pickleball.
